Parking passes for our lot are available on a first-come first-serve basis. We charge $10 per vehicle per day and have three passes available. Once you receive your pass, you should have a guaranteed spot (not necessarily always the same one) so you may come and go as you please. If you arrive to check in and it looks like there is a parking spot, please ask at the front desk if a spot in our lot is actually available. Somebody may have paid for that spot and taken their car to the beach/store/etc.
If you are not one of those first three who snagged a parking pass in our lot, we will gladly provide you with FREE parking at the City Parking Garage on Cordova/Orange street (3-4 blocks away) via a City Parking Pass. This is a magnetic pass that you swipe at a reader when entering AND exiting the garage. If you fail to swipe at exit, you will not be able to reenter the garage, as the reader will think “you are still here, you can’t come in again.” so you will have to exit your vehicle, walk to the exit reader and swipe, before being allowed to enter the garage. We ask for a $10 deposit as this is what the city charges us to Void and Reissue a magnetic pass. You can exit and reenter the garage at your leisure, however on weekends and special events the Garage fills up and if you arrive after 11AM on a weekend or special event, you may not find a space. Similarly, if you have a space and move your vehicle, you may not find a space until after 6-8PM.
Please remove your car from our lot IMMEDIATELY after you check out. We have guests arriving after your check out! If you plan to stay in town after your check out, please ask about other parking options at the front desk.
St. Augustine was built for horses not for cars! As such, the streets in the old town are narrow and usually devoid of parking spaces. This being America, many people think they have a God-given right to park in front of wherever they want to go at any time of day. Well this does not apply in St. Augustine. The main parking garage is usually a great option, it is shaded so your car stays cool. Additionally if you are a regular visitor, you can buy a Park Now card with $20 of stored value on it. This enables you to park in the parking facility located on Cordova Street for $3 instead of $15 for everybody else, and meters will run you 50 cents an hour instead of $1.50. Park Now cards are available for purchase only at the office located at the Parking Office, open only Mon-Fri 7:30AM-4:30PM. More information is available HERE. The Parking Office is located HERE.
(People often ask if the beach is walking distance. My answer is “If you’re European, yes!” or “If you’re American, no! Because in America the unwritten rule of thumb is ‘If the distance to be traveled is longer than the length of your car, take the car.'”)
Metered parking is $1.50/hr, but only needs to be paid from 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday thru Saturday. After 5:00PM until 8:00AM during these days, it is FREE. Sundays and Holidays are also free all day at metered parking.
There is a paid lot across from our Inn, accessible from Charlotte Street that costs between $10-$12 per day with no in/out privileges.
Our parking lot has the capacity for 5 cars. However, due to consistent parking issues of folks being blocked in by other rooms that haven’t left us keys, have their cell phones left behind, etc – we now only offer parking for 3 cars in our lot. This is based on a first come, first serve basis, and will cost $5.00/per day. If you booked two rooms, you have the option to block in your other car provided you have the knowledge we will not be able to move anyone’s car for them at any time.
You are permitted to park temporarily in the lot to unload your luggage, but are limited to 10 minutes. We reserve the right to tow cars that we cannot identify parking in our lot.
